Additional Resources and Assignment:
Shared Community Space:
We have a shared space on Padlet where we added our community needs and expectations. If you did not get a chance to add a card to the page during the live session, please add one. If you’d like to get to know our community better, you can read and comment on the cards before our next session.
Assignment Ahead of week 2:
Please visit this ROLES digital wall and use the tools built into this tool to create a short video, audio, or written response to two questions regarding a role you have. Think of a role that matters to you in your life beyond work, and reflect on two questions:
How are you infusing that role with compassion?
How are you using that role to lead for compassion or awaken compassion across an organization / social system?
You could consider roles such as mother, father, son, daughter, beloved, lover, husband, wife, partner, aunt, uncle, cousin, sister, brother, volunteer, member.
Set up 1-1 time with Monica:
In order to make the course maximally useful to you, please think about an example or a case that you are currently working with and the kinds of questions you want to ask related to your unique organization or social system. Once you have an example or case in mind, schedule a conversation time so that we can address your unique learning needs and help ensure you are getting what most helps you make change in your system by applying these theoretical ideas in new ways.
